Advantages and disadvantages of castor materials and scope of application environment:





a. PVC polyvinyl chloride, PP polypropylene casters:
Advantages: lightweight, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, suitable for chemical environment, low price, suitable for mass production.
Disadvantages: The load capacity is low toughness, can not bear the pressure of heavy objects, is not suitable for use in high temperature and low temperature environment, easy to deformation, silence is not good, easy to produce noise.



b. PU polyurethane Casters:
Advantages: The material has wear resistance, cutting resistance, tear resistance, long service life, high load capacity, can bear the pressure of heavy objects, mute performance is better than PVC and PP, smooth and quiet operation, oil and solvent resistance, suitable for industrial field, suitable for heavy equipment, machinery manufacturing and other occasions.
Disadvantages: high price, compared with PVC and PP material expensive, not suitable for use in high temperature environment, easy to soften deformation.

c. Rubber casters: Rubber casters can be extended into a variety of rubber materials.


Rubber Casters:
Advantages: With good cushioning and shock absorption performance, can effectively protect the transportation equipment and goods. Good wear resistance and long service life. Good chemical corrosion resistance, suitable for all kinds of harsh environment.
Disadvantages: poor heat and low temperature resistance, not suitable for use in extreme high temperature or low temperature environment. Greater friction force is needed to push lifting objects. Can not bear the pressure of heavy objects, easy to crush and soften deformation.




TPR Thermoplastic Rubber Casters:
Advantages: Has good wear resistance and oil resistance, can be adjusted according to the need of hardness and softness, can be recycled, meet the requirements of environmental protection. The material has a better mute effect, which is often used in furniture, medical treatment, hotel and other indoor equipment production applications requiring mute requirements.
Disadvantages: poor heat resistance, not suitable for high temperature environment. Less weatherproof than rubber, susceptible to light and oxidation. The wear resistance is weak.


ETPR High Elastic Rubber Casters:
Advantages: Excellent elasticity and shock absorption, suitable for high-speed operation and frequent change of direction of the equipment. Good wear resistance and long service life. Good acid and alkali corrosion resistance.
Disadvantages: poor heat and low temperature resistance, not suitable for use in extreme high temperature or low temperature environment. Greater friction force is needed to push lifting objects. The wear resistance is weak.

d. Cast iron casters: Cast iron casters wear resistant, strong bearing capacity, suitable for factories, warehouses, logistics and other occasions.
Advantages: Strong and durable: Cast iron material has good strength and durability, can be suitable for heavy load applications. Lower cost: Compared with stainless steel casters, cast iron casters have lower manufacturing costs and relatively affordable prices. Good wear resistance: High wear resistance of cast iron material, suitable for some high wear applications.
Disadvantages: No corrosion protection: cast iron casters rust easily in humid environment, need to be anticorrosive treatment on the surface. Heavier weight: compared with casters of other materials, cast iron casters have larger weight, which is not suitable for occasions with lower load requirements. Difficult to process: the hardness of cast iron material is higher, the processing difficulty is greater, the processing technology requirements are higher.

e. Stainless steel casters: Stainless steel casters anticorrosive and corrosion resistant, suitable for food processing, medical treatment, ocean engineering and other occasions.
Advantages: Corrosion resistance: Stainless steel casters have excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for wet, acidic or alkaline environment applications. Light weight: Compared with cast iron casters, stainless steel casters are lighter and easier to handle and install. Good appearance: stainless steel casters smooth surface, bright color, has a good decorative effect.
Disadvantages: high cost: stainless steel material price is relatively high, manufacturing costs are also high. Not wear-resistant: stainless steel casters are relatively low in hardness and susceptible to wear, and are not suitable for high-wear applications. Low tensile strength: The tensile strength of stainless steel casters is low, suitable for the occasion of low load requirements.
